truth be told.. an unfabricated story simply does not capture the audience as well.. i finally watched "BIG FISH" on dvd this weekend.. loved it!.. the way the plot was weaved in was so cohesive..
shortly, my mind began to wander into some fantasy-filled quasi-macrocosm where it mimicked the fairytale "spectre." i'd go insane in such a place.. people's views would simply be limited to what is apparent without questionin the abstract.. hence, rather than observin the quality of grass as a result of fertile soil, abundant rain, the metabolic processes involved and so forth; the individual in this crzy world quite simply notes "the grass is green." what an isipid world!.. then my mind tracked to the death of edward bloom.. there was not a single person who thought less of him.. the portrayal of a BIG FISH was somewhat synonymous to edward.. always did big things, spoke big, had a big heart, big ambition, big LOVE for his wife.. all this led to his being well-liked by all.. then i remember the book "Death of a Salesman".. how the salesman's philosophy was to be well-liked.. i would seriously re-evaluate my goals if bein well-liked was a priority on my list.. sometimes the cost of being a people-pleaser sacrifices individuality and true love for oneself.. this was not the case for mr. bloom, he loved who he was (even tho his own son was initially dubious) and that's what made people love him.. in my own life, i'd like to find that definin moment in which i can accept and love everythin that comprises me.. love myself enough and not end up like willy in "death of a salesman" just because of a few heavy obstacles.. gosh, don't u love films that make u think and rant on and on about life?
so ya, thought i'd share that with u..
finish this analogy... ALCOHOL is to FRAT BOY as CHOCOLATE is to______;
that's right: "michelle"! nanay & tita connie sent home a bunch of m&m's.. yummy.. i don't know if it's my now-hollow sweet tooth or whether my body's low in sugar, but i've been cravin this endorphine-raising concoction..
